The Company delivers a variety of products and services through its business segments. The Memorialization segment produces and delivers bronze and granite memorials and other memorialization products, caskets, and cremation and incineration equipment primarily for the cemetery and funeral home industries. The Industrial Technologies segment designs, manufactures, services and distributes high-tech custom energy storage, marking, coding and industrial automation technologies and solutions, and order fulfillment systems for identifying, tracking, picking and conveying consumer and industrial products. The SGK Brand Solutions segment delivers brand management, pre-media services, printing plates and cylinders, imaging services, digital asset management, merchandising display systems, and marketing and design services primarily for the consumer goods and retail industries.
The Company disaggregates revenue from contracts with customers by geography, as it believes geographic regions best depict how the nature, amount, timing and uncertainty of revenue and cash flows are affected by economic factors. Disaggregated sales by segment and region for the three and nine months ended June 30, 2022 and 2021 were as follows:
Revenue from products or services provided to customers over time accounted for approximately 13% of revenue for both the three months ended June 30, 2022 and 2021, and 11% and 10% of revenue for the nine months ended June 30, 2022 and 2021, respectively. As of June 30, 2022 and September 30, 2021, the Company had contract assets of $25,059 and $23,998, respectively, that were recorded in other current assets within the Consolidated Balance Sheets. As of June 30, 2022 and September 30, 2021, the Company had contract liabilities of $13,025 and $19,752, respectively, that were recorded in other current liabilities within the Consolidated Balance Sheets.
The entire disclosure of revenue from contract with customer to transfer good or service and to transfer nonfinancial asset. Includes, but is not limited to, disaggregation of revenue, credit loss recognized from contract with customer, judgment and change in judgment related to contract with customer, and asset recognized from cost incurred to obtain or fulfill contract with customer. Excludes insurance and lease contracts.
